2020 Kia Rio Review

reviewing products

The 2020 Kia Rio offers excellent value and is the perfect small car. It's a subcompact hatchback that's built to last and that doesn't try to hide its low price tag.

Despite its low price, the Kia Rio packs a lot of features that will please all. It's easy to drive and has a well-designed interior.

The dashboard is simple but sophisticated and logically laid out for easy use. The infotainment panel is located at the top of the dashboard. It also contains controls for stereo, air condition and other features.

There is plenty of space in the front seat and ample headroom for those over six feet. However, there's not a lot of legroom in the rear seats and trunk space is a bit limited as well.

There is plenty of storage, including large cupholders, door bins, and gloveboxes. Some models include a cubbyhole beneath the central armrest.

Kia has made several changes to the Rio in 2020. It now comes standard equipped with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, a new transmission and engine, and more standard safety equipment that ever existed.

The new model has a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable auto transmission. This makes it much more fuel-efficient and quieter than the 130-hp 1.6 liter powertrain. According to the EPA it will reach 33 mpg in the city and 41 on the highway.

The Rio engine is a good choice as it is both very fuel-efficient but also delivers plenty of performance. There are two trim options available for the engine: LX, and S. Each comes with an 8.2-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto capabilities.

Rio's most appealing feature is the Rio's resemblance in looks to a European sedan. This will make it look right at home in suburban driveways. The rear is also less bulky, making it easier for you to park and load your cargo.

The exterior styling is more conservative in comparison to previous models. However, it's still an attractive design that stands out from other subcompact car designs. The front end features a chrome 'tiger nose' that can be customized for different models, and the body colour is also optional.

A new GT Line is also offered, featuring a unique grille and 17-inch alloy wheels. The GT Line features black and grey seats and a sportier steering system with a red stitch.

The Rio isn’t an extravagant vehicle but it offers a lot of features and excellent warranty coverage. The warranty provides five years of bumper to bumper coverage or 60,000 mile coverage, and ten years of powertrain coverage or 100,000 mile coverage.
